Setting Flight to Students’ Dreams through Scholarship Program
Precision Castparts Corp (PCC) has not only been helping aircrafts set  ight, but also provides several million dollars of educational support each year to students at high schools and universities across the country. Saint Martin de Porres High School is lucky to partner with PCC in providing scholarships for eight of our high school students and two graduating seniors annually. We talked with Archie Green from PCC to learn more about the company’s commitment to Saint Martin’s mission since 2014.

of our corporate headquarters, and have since expanded the program to include high schools and universities in Philadelphia, Cleveland, Seattle, and Southern California. All in total, PCC provides nearly $2 million in annual funding for scholarships and related expenses.
Q How was Saint Martin selected to be part of PCC’s A Scholarship Program?
We visited several high schools in the Cleveland area.
When we visited Saint Martin, we were very impressed with the students; they seemed di erent. When we toured the campus, we noticed how focused and disciplined Saint Martin students seemed to be compared to students at other local schools we had visited. The students and faculty were very friendly, and we sensed that the faculty was
very committed to providing their students with a great education.
Q Tell us about Precision Castparts Corp. and what your role is there?
A Precision Castparts Corp (PCC) is an industrial goods and metal fabrication company that manufactures
investment castings, forged components, and airfoil castings for use in the aerospace, industrial gas turbine, and defense industries. Currently, I am a PCC part-time consultant following my retirement, after serving 37+ years of full-time employment.
