Announcing Principal Ryan Schneider

Posted May 15, 2024 in Press Releases

We are thrilled to announce, Ryan Schneider as the new Principal of Saint Martin de Porres High School. After graduating from John Carroll University with his degree in Business Management, Ryan spent 10 years working in Human Resources & Sales for his family business. During this time he was also coaching high school basketball, which is where his passion for education and youth development sparked. Ryan’s wife, Nancy, also an educator, noticed how his student-athletes responded to him on the basketball court and encouraged him to pursue a career in education. Ryan received his Catechisis Certificate from the University of Dayton and began teaching Theology.

Ryan’s first introduction to the Saint Martin community was on the basketball court. He was coaching for the opposing team when he was inspired by the sportsmanship of the Saint Martin students. He began learning more about Saint Martin and joined the team as a Theology Teacher in 2012. During his time at Saint Martin, Ryan has served in a variety of roles including Head Basketball Coach, Theology Content Chair, and Grade Level Dean. He is most excited to partner with students, families, and teachers to continue to build a culture of togetherness as the school focuses on delivering a holistic education to students across our 5 pillars of Work, Study, Serve, Lead, and Pray.

Ryan is a proud dad to two children, Kaeden, a rising sophomore at Saint Martin, and his daughter Ryann. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, traveling, and cheering on Cleveland sports teams.
