(CLEVELAND)-- The Board of Trustees of Saint Martin de Porres, Cleveland's Cristo Rey high school, announced today that Mr. Charles (Chaz) Napoli has been named President effective June 18, 2018.
Mr. Napoli has over twenty years experience as a C-level technology executive driving corporate growth and performance. He is an effective communicator who has revitalized organizations, teams and personnel throughout his career. After achieving success at Datavantage and Micros-Retail, Mr. Napoli went on to build up other companies including BrandMuscle, Inc., and INSIGHT2PROFIT, Corp., where he has worked since 2012. The Board endorsed Mr. Napoli based on his strong connections to the Cleveland business community and passion for the Cristo Rey Network®. "In addition to truly having a heart for this work, Chaz's experience and skills will connect with our school, and our Corporate Work Study program in particular, to industries that we know hold future promise for our students," said Board chair Dominic Perry. "In fact, this is a proven model for success with approximately one-third of all Cristo Rey Schools having an experienced business executive as President."
Regarding his appointment Mr. Napoli stated, “I am honored and excited to continue the incredible work President Clark has accomplished in Saint Martin’s first 15 years. He has created a culture of excellence, and I am dedicated to building on our school’s mission and vision of transforming urban education in a city that I love. I appreciate Saint Martin's unique combination of academic programming and innovative corporate work study model that has attracted the investment of over 130 Corporate Work Study partners throughout our region."
Founding President Rich Clark, will remain on the Board of Trustees focusing on longer-term strategic initiatives and fundraising, while supporting Mr. Napoli as he transitions into a new role.
Mr. Napoli is a graduate of St. Ignatius High School and the University of Notre Dame. He and his wife have five children and reside in Shaker Heights.
