Providing students of modest economic means with a college preparatory education aimed at helping young men and women develop the habits of mind and spirit that will enable them to be successful in college, in their careers, and in life.

Providing meaningful opportunities for professionals to interact with and mentor students while making a difference in their lives. Over 100 Cleveland-area businesses, firms, and non-profits have partnered with Saint Martin.

Saint Martin invites students into our school community who are committed to academic, spiritual, social, emotional, and physical growth. During the admissions process, Saint Martin reviews academic, disciplinary, and attendance records, as well as teacher recommendations.

While we are serious about preparing students for college and career success, we also believe that school should be fun! Caring for the whole student, we believe that involvement in extracurriculars is essential to continuing to form talented, well-rounded, and interesting individuals.

The Office of Student Success is responsible for fostering a school culture that is based upon building respect between and among students, faculty, staff, and families.

Our college-going culture must be one of high academic expectations, positive student behavior, strong student attendance, high student retention, and a climate in which all staff, students, and parents work together to accomplish the mission of the school. We believe that all individuals are made in the image and likeness of God, and Saint Martin seeks to create and foster a Catholic school community in which all individuals are treated with dignity, integrity, and respect. For this reason, the Office of Student Success was created to offer support, build rapport, establish camaraderie, and foster effective relationships among all who are a part of the support system that helps students to matriculate and graduate from Saint Martin de Porres High School.

Our range of services include:

  • Physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual supports
  • School-wide safety and inclusion
  • Interventions around family hardships that impact a student's socioemotional wellbeing
  • Managing large-scale events that support positive school culture
  • Collaboration with families to contract, redirect, evaluate, or set goals around student academic performance, attendance, and/or behavior
  • Overall enforcement of school wide policies, procedures, and expectations
