CWS Partner Feature: Zelman & Associates

As a first year Corporate Work Study Program partner, Zelman & Associates, a Walker & Dunlop company, has welcomed two students, Brandon ‘22 and Gabe ‘24 to their team. As a United States housing market research firm, Zelman & Associates provides important data, analysis, and insights to institutional investors to aid in investment decisions.

Completing the same work as college level interns, Brandon and Gabe help grow business for Zelman & Associates through a myriad of tasks on the job. This includes researching potential prospect information, data entry, and general office duties such as restocking supplies. Gabriel shares, “I really like my job! In order to learn the business, my supervisor asks me to read the Wall Street Journal every morning. I then summarize an article to share with my coworkers. It has really helped me understand more about the work I am doing.”

Although Saint Martin students are new to their team, CWSP Supervisor and Managing Director of Research Sales, Pete Carroll, is no stranger to the Saint Martin community. After meeting an alumnus from the first graduating class at Saint Martin about 5 years ago, Pete fell in love with the mission of the school and wanted to get involved. Now as the head of the Jobs Committee at Saint Martin, Pete leads a group of passionate supporters in recruiting new Corporate Work Study Program Partners.

“Zelman & Associates is excited to support the school in a more meaningful and hands-on way this year! The Corporate Work Study Program is a perfect fit for our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives and also helps us grow our business.” His organization joined after hearing several supervisors affirm what a positive experience it is for an organization and learning how students increase their business’s productivity. In the first few weeks, they have already seen growth within both Brandon and Gabe and can’t wait to be part of their professional development moving forward.
