CWS Partner Feature: Reminger

Reminger has come a long way since starting as a two-attorney law firm in 1958. Now, with a few hundred employees who specialize in 47 different areas of law, Reminger’s success is credited to their close-knit work environment and commitment to people. Just as Reminger is committed to their employees, they remain connected to Saint Martin as a long-time partner of our Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) and strive to share their passion for a transformative workforce with Saint Martin students.

Reminger has been a CWSP Partner since the opening of Saint Martin in 2004. Kristine Boyer, the CWSP supervisor at Reminger, speaks highly of the relationship between students and Reminger employees. Reminger has partnered with 76 Saint Martin students over the years and has commented on the growth of each of their students. Kristine shares, "The Corporate Work Study Program provides opportunities that were very different from my high school experience. When I was younger, it was my responsibility to find my way into the workforce. This program does that for students by providing valuable internship experience and professional connections at a young age. It is a great program for both the students and our organization."

An important element of Reminger’s partnership with Saint Martin students is their emphasis on the interconnectedness of every role within their firm. Kristine emphasizes to every student she supervises the impact of their work at Reminger. While a student may not typically regard their assigned tasks as directly connected to law practices, other employees would not be able to perform their duties without these students’ integral tasks such as distributing mail, shredding confidential documents, and replenishing essential office supplies that other employees rely on. Reminger’s close-knit environment is extended to the students they work with and is an indispensable element of a meaningful work experience.

When asked about the impact of CWSP on students, Kristine shared that students who work at Reminger learn “how to work independently while learning essential skills”. At the core of Reminger’s partnership is their acknowledgment of the role of every employee at their firm. With Reminger, students are able to gain real, meaningful, work experience with a long-standing company, while Reminger gains assistance on essential duties that help their workforce run. Reminger’s commitment to Saint Martin shines through in their treatment of students and belief in our mission.
