For more than 30 years, Leandra Majors has served as a Clerk at the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, demonstrating dedication, integrity, and commitment to public service. Her connection to Saint Martin extends far beyond her role as a Corporate Work Study supervisor, Leandra is also the proud parent of a Saint Martin alum, Taelor ‘17.
Leandra has been involved with the Corporate Work Study Program since 2015, when Governor Mike DeWine, then Attorney General, introduced the partnership with Saint Martin. Over the years, she has witnessed the incredible growth and confidence students gain through the program, including her own child. Seeing firsthand the impact Saint Martin has on both personal and professional development has deepened her passion for the school’s mission.
Currently, Leandra supervises two students, King ‘28 and Jaiyana ‘27. Both students contribute meaningfully to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office by assisting with a variety of administrative and legal support tasks. Their responsibilities include working alongside attorneys on case preparation, filing and organizing important documents, and helping maintain the overall efficiency of the office. Leandra takes pride in guiding her students as they develop valuable professional skills and confidence in a real-world setting. “My goal is to help my students feel confident and capable in the work they’re doing,” she shares, reflecting her dedication to creating a supportive learning experience where students can grow both personally and professionally.
Leandra’s bond to her students runs deep, as she has witnessed firsthand the impact of the Corporate Work Study program through her own daughter’s experience at Saint Martin. “My daughter’s supervisors came to her graduation,” Leandra recalls. As a parent, Leandra was actively involved in her daughter’s Saint Martin journey, attending events, supporting school initiatives, and encouraging her to take full advantage of the opportunities available. Now, as a supervisor, she brings that same level of commitment to her students. Leandra strives to be not only a mentor in the workplace but also a source of encouragement and guidance, ensuring her students feel supported every step of the way.
When asked what advice she would give to companies considering joining the Corporate Work Study family, Leandra emphasizes the importance of believing in the students’ potential. She encourages organizations to give students the chance to shine, take the time to mentor them, and invest in their growth. “Encourage them, dedicate time and effort to them, and you’ll see results,” she shares. “I am so proud of my students; they come in ready to work, do their jobs with excellence, and add so much value to our organization.” For Leandra, witnessing her students succeed—just as she watched her own daughter, Taelor ‘17, thrive is a reminder of why mentorship and opportunity matter so deeply.
