Alumni Spotlight: Srebrenica Benjamin '11

Srebrenica Benjamin ‘11 has made a positive impact in the world of healthcare since she was a student at Saint Martin. She began her journey in this field during her freshman year of high school through the Corporate Work Study Program. Over her four years, Srebrenica held both clinical and non-clinical positions at several companies including MetroHealth, Cleveland Clinic, and a specialty pharmacy. She is grateful for the preparation Saint Martin provided her for her professional career.

After graduating from Saint Martin, Srebrenica attended Cleveland State University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences then decided that she wanted to continue her education in graduate school. In 2020, Srebrenica graduated yet again; this time from Southern New Hampshire University with her Master of Business Administration with a focus in Healthcare Administration.

Srebrenica has found herself using the skills she learned in high school and college in her current career. Today, she continues to work in healthcare as a pharmaceutical liaison at TrellisRx. In her position, she authorizes insurance, investigates financial barriers that may hinder patients from getting the therapy they need, and conducts check-ins to make sure patients are adhering to their medications and therapy. Srebrenica is also the founder of The Lively Creative, a copywriting and marketing firm.

While Srebrenica does hope to continue with her career in healthcare, she sees herself in a different role. Her goal is to advance in her corporate career and transition into product marketing management. Her ideal job would be one within a biotechnology company, helping improve the life of others.

Srebrenica shares, “Saint Martin gave me the chance to do something that I never thought could be a reality. Because of Saint Martin, I was able to successfully finish high school, be prepared for college, go through college, and finish it! The confidence Saint Martin gave me to enter into the corporate world with confidence is truly an invaluable asset to my career as a young professional. I can’t thank Saint Martin enough for that opportunity!”
