Saint Martin de Porres is a college preparatory high school. Therefore, each grade has a college counseling curriculum that is followed closely starting in ninth grade. Learning styles, personality types and college game plans are fostered and closely monitored to better prepare the Saint Martin student for college. The counseling department uses Naviance Network™.  Naviance is the world's leading provider of planning and advising systems for schools—with resources for counselors, teachers, administrators, and technology professionals, as well as students and parents.  Here is the link to Family Connection for Saint Martin de Porres, http://connection.naviance.com/smdphs

Mental Health Services

Our counseling department is comprised of a staff of mental health professionals who specialize in advocating for all students. Studies show that if a student is having social or emotional difficulties, it will be very difficult for him/her to learn. Therefore, services are offered to ALL Saint Martin students at any time. Services include: individual counseling, group counseling, educational workshops, crisis intervention, assessment and referral, and outside referral resources, etc. Topics that come up often in a high school setting are addressed immediately, in order for each student to maximize their learning potential.
