About Us

Saint Martin de Porres High School was founded in fall 2004 to provide high-quality college-preparatory education to young people in Cleveland, OH, who would not otherwise be able to afford such an education. For funding, the school relies on an innovative Corporate Work Study Program first used at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago, IL. Saint Martin de Porres is located in St. Vitus Parish in its former elementary school in downtown Cleveland. The school has forged partnerships with a number of businesses and not-for-profit organizations in and around Cleveland (view list of Corporate sponsors). Saint Martin de Porres opened its doors in 2004 to our first freshman class. In the fall of 2007, the school year began with a full contingent of four classes of students. We now have a student body of 368 students.
